In all games prior to God of War 2018, Kratos was 7ft 6in (2.29m). From GoW 2018 onwards, Kratos’ height is 6ft 4in (1.93). This was an intentional decision made by the character technical art team as the game moved into the PlayStation 4 era. The decision was made to depict Kratos in more realistic proportions instead of the more comic book Kratos was reintroduced to the world as a semi-reformed killer. In his older age, he bears the regret and consequences of his destructive actions in ancient Greece that spanned six titles – seven if you include the mobile phone game God of War: Betrayal. Despite his regret in 2018’s adventure, he is no pacifist. The DLC's narrative thus takes Kratos on a journey through some of the major events of the installments that came before God of War's 2018 reboot, and it uses music to assist in telling that story.
