He has me to beleive im sitting on a ticking time bomb, which probably isn't far off, but i wanted some opinions.I'm at 102k miles, and obviously 10 Itis recommended that you change your cambelt every 40,000-60,000 miles. Audi recommend 135000 miles or 5 years for changing of the cam belt. Make sure to get the water pump and tensioners etc changed at the same time. I usually do a fan belt at the same time also. My local Audi dealer phoned me last week (it's usually bad news when they phone you for no reason) and said that it was a courtesy call to inform my that recently, Audi have changed stance on the 5 years or 130k recommendation for a timing belt change and now it is only 130k regardless of years.
